For some time now, I’ve wanted to create a camera set up that would allow me to record myself while moving about. Similar to the following scene in the Red Violin.

If you have not seen the movie the Red Violin, I would say it’s one of my favorites and that scene remains to be one of my favorites.
Mainly I would like this set up so I can operate my camera and do two person walking interviews. I’d say the results are pretty good so far.
This is what the set up looks like.

and check it out in action as I test the pole camera out for the first time.
I think it looks pretty good. The wide angle lens sure helps smooth the rough movements out.
Basically it’s a camera on the end of a pole… I’m excited about doing and actual walking interview with it. Check out all the interviews on MoHDI or on the YouTube channel.
